Producing a Final Report When the Administration of a Person of Full Age’s Tutorship or Curatorship Comes to an End

To submit a final report when the administration of a tutorship or curatorship to a person of full age comes to an end, proceed in one of the following ways:

  • Complete and return the Final Account form received from the Curateur public du Québec.
  • If the final report is complicated, use the services of an accountant or another qualified professional.

If you complete the form yourself, you must have the content approved and the form signed by:

  • the person under protection, if a court decision has terminated the tutorship or curatorship
  • the liquidator of the succession, if the person under protection has died, or
  • the new tutor, curator or mandatary appointed by the court

A copy of the final report must be sent to the secretary of the tutorship council and, as applicable, to one of the following:

  • the person under protection, if a court decision has terminated the tutorship or curatorship
  • the succession liquidator, if the person under protection has died
  • the new tutor or curator appointed by the court, or
  • the tutor or curator to the person
