Tax Credit for Work Premium
ClienteleAny individual who considers to be eligible to the work premium. ConditionsAn individual must meet all the following conditions:
NoteWhen two spouses consider that they are entitled to the work premium for the year, only one of them must apply for advance payments.
To apply for advance payments of the work premium, proceed in one of the following ways:
Note The Advance Payment Files: Work Premium or Tax Credit for Childcare Expenses online service can be used to follow the progress in the processing of an application.
To apply for advance payments for a given year, the application must be filed and sent to Revenu Québec no later than by October 15 of that year.
To receive the total amount in 12 payments, apply by December 1 of the year preceding the year covered by the application. After that date, the amount will be divided over the number of months remaining in the year after the application is processed.
The amount of the advance payments which the person may be entitled to is determined by Revenu Québec within 45 days of the date of reception of an application.
The application for advance payments must be renewed every year.
