Tax Credit for Work Premium

RestrictionsA full-time student (see definitions) is not entitled to the work premium, unless he or she is the parent of a child who lives with him or her.
ConditionsTo be entitled to the work premium, an individual must meet all the following conditions:
To claim the work premium, an individual must complete Schedule P - Tax Credits Respecting the Work Premium of the personal income tax return, enclose it with the return, and file these documents with Revenu Québec. Individuals who have applied for advance payments of the work premium for a given year have to indicate in the tax return the total of advance payments received during the year and complete Schedule P to calculate the exact amount of the work premium to which they are entitled.
The application must be renewed each year.

Revenu Québec generally provides return envelopes depending on the process to be completed. However, all correspondence for Revenu Québec can also be sent to one of the regional offices, which will forward it to the department responsible for processing the file or claim.
