Replacing a Lost, Destroyed or Stolen Hunter's or Trapper's Certificate

To replace a hunter’s or trapper’s certificate that has been lost, destroyed or stolen, you must

  • make sure, before going to a computerized selling agent authorized by the Ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs, that your address in the computer system is up to date
  • go to a computerized selling agent authorized by the Ministère, making sure to have your hunter’s or trapper’s certificate number in hand, and
  • pay the required fees

You cannot change your address through the licence selling agent. You must use the online service Certificat du chasseur ou du piégeur – Certificat de réussite – Changement d'adresse (French only).

Your new hunter’s or trapper’s certificate will be mailed to you, at the address entered in the computer system.

To find out the number of your hunter’s or trapper’s certificate, contact the Direction des affaires législatives et des permis of the Ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs and provide the required information.

To find out the contact information of an authorized computerized selling agent,

  • use the online Computerized Licence Selling System service, or
  • contact the Service à la clientèle of the Ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs
