Conditions Required to Qualify as an Elector and Have the Right to Vote at the Provincial Level | Directeur général des élections du Québec

Registering on the List of Electors or Making Changes about an Inscription for a Provincial Election

If electors find that they are not entered on the list of electors, if there is an error in the information appearing on the notice they received in the mail, or if they wish to change their address, a request to register or make changes to the list of electors may be made at one of the revision offices. This request may also be made by a parent, a spouse or a person who lives with the elector.

Once the revision period for the list of electors has closed, it is still possible to make a request or a change, but electors must go to a special revision office. In this case, only the elector can submit a request for himself or herself. Entry on the list of electors during this additional period confers the right to vote only at the returning office on polling days and on election day; it does not confer the right to vote in the advance poll.

To register or make changes
To register or make changes to the list of electors, go to a revision office or special revision office with the required documents.

To find the address for your nearest revision office or special revision office, refer to the Directeur général des élections du Québec’s website or contact its Centre de renseignements.
