Paratransit Eligibility Policy

To apply for paratransit services, an Application for Paratransit Eligibility form must be obtained from the municipal paratransit service, completed and the required documents enclosed, then submitted to the municipal paratransit service eligibility committee. If the municipality does not have paratransit services, a person must contact the paratransit service located nearest his or her home. They will direct the person to the eligibility committee that was designated to deal with applications from his or her municipality. For contact information for the paratransit service of a Québec municipality, go to the online Répertoire des municipalités. A person who is eligible will receive a card enabling use of the paratransit service in his or her municipality. As a visitor, the person will also have access to paratransit services elsewhere in Québec, depending on available resources.
Paratransit costs vary according to each municipality providing the service.
Applications are processed within 45 days after the Application for Paratransit Eligibility form is received.
