Notifying a Department or Agency of a Change of Address Using the Service québécois de changement d’adresse

To notify a department or agency of a change of address, or that of their child under the age of 18, using the Service québécois de changement d'adresse, the individual must do one of the following and provide the required information:

  • Use the online service Service québécois de changement d’adresse
  • Call Services Québec
  • Go to a Services Québec counter
To notify a department or agency of a change of address of another person, using the Service québécois de changement d'adresse, the individual must do one of the following and provide the required information:

  • Use, with the authorization of the person concerned, the online Service québécois de changement d'adresse to complete the request for change of address for this person
  • Call Services Québec in the presence of the person concerned and ask the person to confirm that they authorize the disclosure, on their behalf, of the required information
  • Visit a Services Québec office with the completed Power of Attorney form and 2 pieces of identification, including one piece of photo identification

Confirmation of a Request Completed Online
Once the change of address request has been completed using the online service, a confirmation number appears on the screen, on the “Confirmation of your Request” page. This number is also included in the confirmation email sent to the person if they provided their email address. 

Note
A change of address can be made 3 months before the planned moving date.
