Tutorship to a Minor | Curateur public du Québec

Making an Inventory of the Minor’s Property

To make an inventory of a minor’s property, proceed in one of the following ways:

  • Complete the Inventory by a Private Writing form in the presence of two witnesses, have them sign it and mail it along with the required documents to the Curateur public du Québec; or
  • Use the services of a notary and mail a copy of the inventory made by notarial act and the required documents to the Curateur public du Québec.

A copy of the inventory, whether made by private writing in front of witnesses or by notarial act, and the required documents must be sent to the secretary of the tutorship council. Sending a copy of the inventory to the minor is suggested if he or she is 14 years or older.
