To make an inventory of a minor’s property, proceed in one of the following ways:
NoteA copy of the inventory, whether made by private writing in front of witnesses or by notarial act, and the required documents must be sent to the secretary of the tutorship council. Sending a copy of the inventory to the minor is suggested if he or she is 14 years or older.
The inventory must be made
A copy of all the documents (ex.: bank statements, investment statements or municipal tax assessments) that confirm the minor’s property and debts. NoteWhen in doubt about which documents to include in the inventory, it is suggested that you contact the person responsible for the minor’s file at the Curateur public du Québec.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday: from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
