Paying a Tax Balance Calculated in your Tax Return

To pay the tax balance calculated in your tax return, you must do one of the following.

Within the required deadline, you must use one of the following methods:

  • Revenu Québec online payment service (you must access the online service of a participating financial institution and be registered for My Account for Individuals)
  • Online bill payment service of a financial institution (e.g. AccèsD)

In Person
You can make a payment in person at a financial institution. Be sure to bring the remittance slip that accompanies the Tax Return form within the required deadlines.

By Mail
You must:

  1. complete the remittance slip
  2. send a cheque or money order payable to the Minister of Revenue of Québec, along with the remittance slip
  3. attach the documents to page 1 of your tax return
  4. send all documents to Revenu Québec (Montréal office or Québec office) within the required deadlines

Remittance Slip
The remittance slip (TPF-1026.0.2) accompanies the Tax Return form. You can also order one by doing one of the following:

  • Use the online service Ordering Forms and Publications and choose one of the following forms:
  • TPZ-1026.0.1.M (for people living in or near the Montreal area)
  • TPZ-1026.0.1.Q (for people living in or near the Québec region)
  • Call the Direction principale des relations avec la clientèle des particuliers of Revenu Québec

The remittance slip printed using commercial software can only be used to make a payment by mail. A slip printed in this way cannot be used to make a payment at a financial institution.
