To claim the tax credit for home-support services for seniors, complete Schedule J and enclose it with the personal income tax return to be filed with Revenu Québec. There may also be other documents that have to be enclosed with the return. Note Only one claim may be filed per couple.
In certain cases where seniors can apply for advance payments of the tax credit, it is not necessary to complete Schedule J.
An individual living in a condominium that he or she owns must also enclose a copy of the Information Return – Tax Credit for Home-Support Services for Seniors (TPZ-1029.MD.5).
