The basic rental charge is equal to 25% of the household’s total income for the calendar year preceding the signing of the lease. This amount includes the cost of heating. However, depending on the services included in the lease, certain charges may be added to cover the cost of electricity, parking or air conditioning. In addition, depending on the clientele, fees are sometimes charged to cover the cost of special services, such as nursing care or cafeteria services.
