Loans and Bursaries Program

Notifying Aide financière aux études of a Change of Address or Change of Situation as a Loans and Bursaries Program Recipient

These instructions apply to any student who has received financial assistance under the Loans and Bursaries Program and is one of the following situations:
  • your address has changed or you wish to correct an error in the address shown in your file
  • there has been a change in your situation, or in that of your mother, father, sponsor or spouse if their contribution is required, e.g. with regard to:
      • financial resources (e.g. change or loss of a job, raise or reduction of salary)
      • marital status
      • reaching the 20th week of pregnancy
      • the birth or adoption of a child
      • the death of your mother, father, sponsor, spouse or a dependent child
      • obtaining an undergraduate diploma or 90 units in a university program
For any change concerning your mother, father, sponsor or spouse, they may also have to declare the change.

To notify Aide financière aux études of a change of situation:
  • If you are a student receiving assistance under the program, either:
      • Use the online service On-line Access to your File! and fill out the form Declaration of Change – Student.
      • Or, fill out the print version of the form Declaration of Change – Student, and mail it together with any required documents to Aide financière aux études.
  • If you are the student’s mother, father, sponsor or spouse, either:
      • Use the online service On-line Access to Your File! to access the Declaration form submitted with the initial application (available under the tabs Mother, Father, Sponsor or Spouse). Fill it out again with the updated information, then upload a digitized copy to your file.
      • Or, write a signed and dated letter giving the change to be made in your file, attach documentation attesting to the change, and mail to Aide financière aux études at the ministère de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement supérieur.
Note that digitized documents can be uploaded under the Digital Transmission tab, through the online service On-line Access to Your File!. If you have submitted a form by mail you can use this method to submit required documents, if you wish.
