If you paid the funeral expenses for a deceased person, you may be entitled to a special benefit for funeral expenses up to a maximum of $2500. that reimburses you for funeral expenses that reimburses you for all or part of your outlay. The deceased does not necessarily have to have been a recipient under the Social Assistance Program or the Social Solidarity Program.

First, within 60 days following the death, you must contact Retraite Québec to find out whether you are eligible for the death benefit payable under the Québec Pension Plan.
