To request that the Superior Court probate a will, one of the following procedures must be initiated:
- Submit in person an application for the probate of a will, along with the required documents, to the courthouse in the region where the deceased person resided, or
- Contact a notary or an attorney to have him or her prepare the application for probate.
Applications for the probate of a will must be made in the prescribed form. For this purpose, it is possible to use the model presented in the publication Application for the Probate of a Will.
Information on whether a will has been probated can be obtained from the courthouse in the judicial district where the deceased person resided.
