Consulting the Québec Land Register

You can consult the Québec land register in either of the following ways:
  • Use the Registre foncier du Québec en ligne online service (in French only), or
  • Go to a registry office to use the Registre foncier du Québec en ligne online service on a public computer.

You will have to provide one of the following pieces of information:

  • the registration number of the document you wish to view, or
  • the lot number, the name of the cadastre and the name of the registration division for the property in question
To obtain this information, contact the municipality where the property is located. To obtain the contact information for a specific municipality, use the Répertoire des municipalités online service.
 
You do not have to have a client account to consult the Québec land register. However, we recommend opening a client account if you plan to view land register documents frequently. 
 
To open a client account with the Québec land register, go to the website of the online register and complete the Ouverture d’un dossier client form on the authentication page.
 
The system will give you a client identifier (file number) and inform you that a user code will be sent to you by email.
 
Consultation Hours
The online Québec land register can be consulted at the following times:
Monday to Friday: 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. 
Saturday and Sunday: 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
